Key Responsibilities

  • Provide compassionate assistance with personal care, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
  • Support clients with safe mobility and transfers, utilizing appropriate equipment as needed.
  • Assist with medication reminders and ensure timely administration as per care plan.
  • Prepare nutritious meals and snacks, adhering to dietary restrictions and preferences.
  • Perform light housekeeping duties, including tidying living areas, laundry, and maintaining a clean and safe environment.
  • Offer companionship, engage in meaningful conversations, and participate in recreational activities to promote social well-being.
  • Monitor and report any changes in client's physical, mental, or emotional condition to the supervisor.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of care provided and client observations.
  • Adhere strictly to all health and safety protocols, company policies, and care plans.
  • Actively participate in and complete all required training modules and continuous professional development.

Required Skills

  • Criminal record check and vulnerable sector screening will be required upon hire.

Preferred Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous experience in a caregiving role (formal or informal) is an asset.
  • Valid Class 5 Driver's License and access to a reliable vehicle.
  • Current First Aid and CPR certification.
  • Ability to speak additional languages, reflecting Calgary's diverse community.
