In this role, you will be responsible for creating bespoke fitness programs, providing one-on-one coaching, and fostering a supportive, inclusive atmosphere for our diverse clientele. Key Responsibilities
- Develop and deliver personalized, safe, and effective fitness programs for a diverse international clientele.
- Conduct comprehensive fitness assessments and progress tracking for clients.
- Provide expert guidance on exercise techniques, nutrition, and healthy lifestyle choices, considering cultural nuances.
- Build and maintain strong, trust-based relationships with clients through clear communication and empathy.
- Adapt training methods and communication styles to accommodate varying language proficiencies and cultural backgrounds.
- Educate clients on local fitness resources and healthy living options in Edinburgh.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of fitness trends, best practices, and cultural sensitivities.
- Ensure a clean, safe, and welcoming training environment.
- Handle client inquiries, scheduling, and administrative tasks efficiently.
Required Skills
- Certified Personal Trainer (REPs Level 3 or equivalent)
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a Personal Trainer
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Demonstrated cultural sensitivity and ability to work with diverse populations
- Strong understanding of anatomy, physiology, and exercise science
- Ability to design and implement tailored fitness and nutrition plans
- Proficiency in English (additional languages are a significant plus)
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Exercise Science, Kinesiology, or related field
- Experience living or working abroad
- Certification in specific fitness modalities (e.g., Pilates, Yoga, Strength & Conditioning)
