As a Pest Control Technician, you will be the front-line solution provider for our residential and commercial clients in and around Downtown, Towson. Your main goal will be to identify, diagnose, and resolve pest issues, ensuring the safety and comfort of our customers’ properties. This role is far more than just spraying; it involves critical thinking, problem-solving, and building trusted relationships. You’ll learn to meticulously inspect properties for signs of pest activity, accurately identify various insects and rodents, and implement integrated pest management strategies.
Our comprehensive training program covers everything from pest biology and behavior to safe handling of equipment and application techniques, state regulations, and advanced customer service skills. Key Responsibilities
- Complete a comprehensive paid training program to become a licensed Pest Control Technician.
- Conduct thorough inspections of client properties to identify pest infestations and potential entry points.
- Develop and implement effective pest management plans tailored to each client's specific needs.
- Apply pest control treatments safely and according to established protocols and regulations.
- Educate clients on pest prevention strategies and answer their questions professionally.
- Maintain accurate records of services performed, including pest findings and treatment applications.
- Manage and maintain company equipment and vehicle in good working order.
- Adhere strictly to all safety guidelines and environmental regulations.
- Provide exceptional customer service, ensuring client satisfaction and building lasting relationships.
Required Skills
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening
- Strong work ethic and eagerness to learn new skills
- Excellent communication and customer service abilities
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
- Comfort working in various weather conditions, confined spaces, and at heights
- Physical ability to lift and carry equipment up to 50 lbs.
