Key Responsibilities
- Provide daily feeding, watering, and administration of prescribed medications (under supervision) to various animals.
- Perform thorough cleaning and sanitization of kennels, cages, play areas, and common spaces to maintain a hygienic environment.
- Monitor animal behavior, health, and appetite, reporting any changes or concerns to supervisors immediately.
- Ensure animals receive adequate exercise and mental stimulation through supervised play sessions and walks.
- Assist with basic grooming tasks such as brushing, bathing, and nail trims as needed.
- Maintain accurate records of animal activities, feeding schedules, medication administration, and observations.
- Interact respectfully and professionally with pet owners, providing updates on their pets' well-being.
- Restock supplies, manage laundry, and contribute to the overall cleanliness and organization of the facility.
- Adhere strictly to all safety protocols and animal handling procedures to ensure the well-being of both animals and staff.
Required Skills
- Proven experience in animal handling and care (professional or volunteer)
- Strong observational skills for monitoring animal health and behavior
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- High level of physical stamina and ability to lift up to 25 kg
- Commitment to maintaining a clean and sanitary environment
- Reliability and a strong work ethic
