Key Responsibilities
- Safely and responsibly walk dogs of various breeds and sizes, adhering to client instructions and established routes.
- Monitor pet behavior and health during walks, reporting any concerns or unusual observations to pet owners and/or client management.
- Ensure pets are properly leashed, harnessed, and equipped for walks, including waste bags and water.
- Provide fresh water, basic feeding, and administer medication if required and instructed by pet owners.
- Communicate effectively and professionally with pet owners, providing updates on their pet's activities and well-being.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for pets, including cleaning up after walks.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and emergency procedures.
- Manage scheduling and punctuality for all assigned walking appointments.
Required Skills
- Proven experience with animal handling, particularly dogs.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong sense of responsibility and reliability.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Physical stamina to walk and handle dogs in various weather conditions.
- A genuine love and understanding of animals.
- Ability to follow specific instructions carefully.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous professional pet sitting or dog walking experience.
- Pet First Aid and CPR certification.
