Key Responsibilities
- Efficiently dispense fuel and lubricants to customers, ensuring accuracy and safety at all times.
- Process cash, credit, and mobile money transactions accurately and promptly.
- Provide excellent customer service, greeting customers warmly and assisting with inquiries.
- Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of the service station forecourt, pumps, and general premises.
- Monitor fuel levels and report discrepancies or maintenance needs to supervisors.
- Adhere strictly to all safety and environmental regulations and company policies.
- Assist in merchandising and stocking of convenience store items, if applicable.
- Handle customer complaints or concerns with professionalism and escalate as necessary.
- Conduct daily opening and closing procedures as per company guidelines.
- Perform routine checks on equipment and report any malfunctions.
Required Skills
- Proven experience in a customer service or retail environment (at least 6 months).
- Strong numeracy and basic accounting skills for handling transactions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and public holidays.
- High level of integrity, honesty, and responsibility.
- Basic understanding of safety protocols in a petroleum retail setting.
- Physical fitness to stand for extended periods and perform light lifting.
Preferred Qualifications
- Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) or equivalent.
- Previous experience specifically as a fuel pump attendant.
- First Aid and fire safety training/certification.
- Familiarity with Point of Sale (POS) systems.
- A valid driving license (advantageous, but not mandatory).
