Cari-Med Group, a leading distributor of pharmaceuticals, medical supplies, and consumer goods in Jamaica, is seeking a dynamic Pharmaceutical Sales Representative to join our esteemed team. As a Pharmaceutical Sales Representative, you will be the face of Cari-Med Group in your assigned territory, responsible for driving sales and market share growth of our prescription and over-the-counter pharmaceutical products. Your primary objective will be to effectively promote our diverse range of medications to a broad spectrum of healthcare professionals, including general practitioners, specialists, pharmacists, nurses, and procurement officers, across various settings such as hospitals, clinics, private practices, and pharmacies. This role demands a strategic thinker who can deeply understand the needs of their clients, analyze market trends, identify new business opportunities, and develop tailored sales and marketing strategies to meet and consistently exceed ambitious sales targets. You will be instrumental in educating healthcare providers on product features, benefits, clinical data, and appropriate usage, ensuring they have the information needed to make informed decisions for their patients.
We are looking for an individual who embodies professionalism, possesses excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and has a proven track record in sales, ideally within the pharmaceutical or medical device industry. Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with healthcare professionals, including doctors, pharmacists, and nurses, within the assigned territory.
- Promote and sell pharmaceutical products through effective presentations and product demonstrations.
- Achieve and exceed sales targets and market share objectives for the assigned product portfolio.
- Plan and execute daily call cycles to maximize territory coverage and customer engagement.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and gather customer feedback.
- Provide clinical information and product support to healthcare professionals.
- Attend industry conferences, training sessions, and sales meetings as required.
- Maintain accurate records of sales activities, customer interactions, and expense reports.
- Collaborate with internal teams (marketing, medical affairs) to optimize sales strategies.
- Manage and allocate promotional materials and samples effectively.
Required Skills
- Proven track record in sales, preferably within the pharmaceutical or medical device industry.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong negotiation and closing skills.
- Ability to build and maintain professional relationships.
- Self-motivated, results-oriented, and able to work independently.

- Valid driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle for extensive travel within the territory.

- Prior experience as a Pharmaceutical Sales Representative.
- Familiarity with the Jamaican healthcare market and key opinion leaders.
- Knowledge of pharmaceutical regulations and compliance standards.
