Job Description

Your daily activities will range from assisting customers with over-the-counter selections and processing transactions to managing inventory, preparing prescriptions under pharmacist supervision, and maintaining a clean, organized pharmacy. Key Responsibilities

  • Assist licensed pharmacists in dispensing prescription medications, including counting, pouring, measuring, and labelling under direct supervision.
  • Provide exceptional customer service, answering inquiries, assisting with product selection, and processing sales transactions accurately.
  • Manage and organize pharmacy inventory, including stocking shelves, monitoring expiration dates, and assisting with order placement and receiving.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe pharmacy environment, adhering to all health and safety regulations.
  • Perform administrative tasks such as maintaining patient records, managing insurance paperwork, and handling telephone calls.
  • Ensure compliance with all company policies, procedures, and relevant pharmaceutical laws and regulations.
  • Support the pharmacy team in all aspects of daily operations to ensure efficient service delivery.

Required Skills

  • Strong customer service and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Basic mathematical proficiency for accurate counting and calculations.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced team environment.
  • Proficiency in basic computer applications and point-of-sale systems.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience (6-12 months) in a pharmacy or retail healthcare setting.
  • Knowledge of pharmaceutical terminology and basic drug classifications.
  • Certification as a Pharmacy Technician (where applicable).
