Key Responsibilities
- Assist pharmacists with non-dispensing duties, ensuring efficient workflow.
- Greet and assist customers with a friendly and professional demeanor, directing them to appropriate aisles or staff members.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the pharmacy, including shelves, counters, and waiting areas.
- Receive, unpack, and stock incoming medication and supply orders, ensuring proper storage and rotation.
- Monitor inventory levels and assist with placing orders to ensure adequate stock.
- Process prescription refills and customer purchases using the point-of-sale (POS) system.
- Answer phone calls and direct inquiries to the appropriate personnel.
- Assist with basic administrative tasks, such as filing, data entry, and record-keeping.
- Ensure compliance with all pharmacy policies, procedures, and safety guidelines.
- Prepare prescription labels and organize completed prescriptions for pharmacist review.
- Contribute to a positive and collaborative team environment.
