Your day will be dynamic, involving direct interaction with customers to assist with over-the-counter medication selections, health and beauty products, and general inquiries. You’ll gain valuable knowledge about various product lines, helping customers make informed choices while strictly adhering to professional and ethical guidelines. Inventory management will also be a key aspect of your role, requiring you to monitor stock levels, assist with receiving and organizing new shipments, and ensure products are displayed attractively and accessibly. Key Responsibilities

  • Greet and assist customers with a friendly and professional demeanor, addressing their inquiries and guiding them to relevant products.
  • Process sales transactions accurately using the POS system, handling cash, credit, and mobile payments.
  • Provide information on over-the-counter medications, health supplements, and general merchandise, referring complex queries to a registered Pharmacist.
  • Assist with stock management, including receiving, unpacking, stocking shelves, monitoring expiration dates, and conducting inventory counts.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and inviting sales floor and pharmacy waiting area.
  • Ensure compliance with all pharmacy policies, procedures, and health regulations.
  • Handle customer complaints or concerns with patience and escalate issues when necessary.
  • Support the Pharmacist and other team members with various administrative tasks as required.
  • Educate customers on loyalty programs and promotions to enhance their shopping experience.

Required Skills

  • Minimum of OND/SSCE certificate.
  • Excellent customer service and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Basic computer proficiency for POS operations.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to handle cash and payment transactions accurately.
  • Fluency in English (written and spoken).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a retail, customer service, or healthcare setting.
  • Familiarity with pharmaceutical products and general health awareness.
  • Knowledge of inventory management principles.
  • Ability to speak local languages (e.g., Yoruba) is a plus.
