Key Responsibilities
- Greet and assist customers with a friendly and professional demeanor, directing them to products or services.
- Handle over-the-counter sales, accurately process payments, and manage cash transactions.
- Maintain an organized and clean pharmacy store, including shelving, product displays, and general tidiness.
- Assist with inventory management, including receiving, stocking, and rotating merchandise.
- Monitor product expiration dates and assist with the removal of expired items.
- Prepare prescription orders for pick-up under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist.
- Answer incoming phone calls and direct them to the appropriate department or individual.
- Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and hygiene regulations within the pharmacy.
- Collaborate effectively with pharmacists and other team members to provide seamless service.
- Assist in administrative tasks as needed to support pharmacy operations.
Required Skills
- High school diploma or equivalent (Grade 12 certificate).
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Strong customer service orientation and a friendly attitude.
- Ability to work accurately and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic computer literacy for point-of-sale systems.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team setting.
