Key Responsibilities
- Assist pharmacists and pharmacy technicians with non-clerical duties, including maintaining cleanliness and organization of the pharmacy area.
- Receive and unpack incoming medication and supplies, verifying contents against invoices.
- Stock shelves and rotate inventory to ensure proper storage and expiration date management.
- Assist with the preparation and packaging of prescription orders under direct supervision.
- Provide excellent customer service by greeting patients, answering general inquiries, and directing them to the appropriate pharmacy staff.
- Operate cash register for over-the-counter sales and prescription pickups.
- Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to all HIPAA regulations.
- Assist with clerical tasks such as filing, organizing paperwork, and managing pharmacy records.
- Learn and adhere to all pharmacy policies, procedures, and safety guidelines.
- Support the pharmacy team in maintaining an efficient and patient-focused environment.
