Key Responsibilities
- Assist licensed pharmacists in the preparation and dispensing of prescription medications, adhering strictly to all protocols and regulations.
- Manage pharmacy inventory, including receiving, stocking, rotating, and organizing medications and supplies.
- Process prescription requests accurately and efficiently, ensuring all necessary patient information is verified.
- Provide exceptional customer service by greeting patients, answering their questions, and directing them to the appropriate pharmacist when necessary.
- Operate point-of-sale systems, handle cash and electronic payments, and manage patient billing.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and sterile work environment within the pharmacy outlet, following all health and safety guidelines.
- Assist with administrative tasks such as maintaining patient records, filing, and processing insurance claims.
- Prepare and affix accurate prescription labels and patient information leaflets under the direct supervision of a pharmacist.
- Monitor medication expiration dates and assist with the removal of expired or recalled products.
- Collaborate effectively with pharmacists and other team members to ensure optimal workflow and patient care.
Required Skills
- Strong attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy in all tasks.
