Key Responsibilities
- Consult with clients to understand their specific photographic needs and project objectives.
- Plan and execute photography sessions for events (e.g., weddings, corporate functions, festivals) and commercial projects (e.g., product photography, headshots, real estate).
- Utilize professional-grade camera equipment and accessories to capture high-quality images.
- Master various photographic techniques, including lighting, composition, and posing, to achieve desired artistic and commercial outcomes.
- Perform post-production editing, retouching, and colour correction using industry-standard software (e.g., Adobe Lightroom, Photoshop).
- Organize, backup, and deliver final edited images to clients within agreed-upon timelines and specifications.
- Maintain a professional demeanor and provide excellent customer service at all times.
- Manage personal equipment, ensuring it is well-maintained and in excellent working condition.
- Stay updated with current photography trends, techniques, and software advancements.
- Collaborate effectively with Career.zycto project managers and clients throughout the project lifecycle.
Required Skills
- Proficiency in operating professional DSLR/Mirrorless cameras and lenses.
- Expertise in photographic composition, lighting, and posing techniques.
- Advanced skills in Adobe Lightroom and Photoshop for post-processing and retouching.
- Strong understanding of colour theory and image editing principles.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for client interaction.
- Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- A strong portfolio showcasing diverse event and commercial photography work.
- Reliable transportation and willingness to travel to various client locations.
- Business acumen for managing freelance operations, including invoicing and client relations.
Preferred Qualifications
- Formal education or certification in Photography, Visual Arts, or a related field.
- Experience with videography or drone photography is a plus.
- Familiarity with local businesses and event venues in Coopers Pen and Falmouth.
- Membership in professional photography associations.
