Career.zycto is seeking a highly skilled and passionate Freelance Photographer specializing in both event and commercial photography to join our dynamic network of creative professionals in Seville, St. Ann’s Bay, Jamaica. Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with clients to understand project requirements, scope, and desired outcomes for both event and commercial assignments.
- Plan and execute photoshoots, including scouting locations, setting up lighting, and directing subjects as needed.
- Capture high-quality images using professional-grade equipment, adhering to established brand guidelines and artistic vision.
- Perform comprehensive post-production, including culling, colour correction, retouching, and final image optimization using industry-standard software.
- Manage and organize digital assets efficiently, ensuring timely delivery of final edited images.
- Maintain and care for photographic equipment, ensuring it is always in excellent working condition.
- Develop and maintain a strong professional portfolio showcasing diverse styles and capabilities.
- Adhere to all copyright and licensing agreements relevant to client projects.
- Communicate effectively and professionally with clients and Career.zycto project managers throughout the project lifecycle.
Required Skills
- Proficiency in professional-grade camera equipment and accessories (DSLR/Mirrorless cameras, lenses, lighting).
- Expertise in Adobe Lightroom and Photoshop for image editing and retouching.
- Strong understanding of photographic principles, including composition, lighting, exposure, and colour theory.
- Proven experience in both event photography (weddings, conferences, parties) and commercial photography (product, lifestyle, corporate).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects, and meet tight deadlines.
- A strong, diverse, and professional portfolio demonstrating relevant experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- Degree or diploma in Photography, Visual Arts, or a related field.
- Experience with videography and video editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro).
- Knowledge of drone photography and relevant regulations.
- Understanding of marketing and social media trends in visual content creation.
