Job Description
Career.zycto is on the lookout for a highly talented and passionate freelance Photographer specializing in both event and commercial photography. This is an incredible opportunity for a creative individual to partner with various clients across Ironshore, Montego Bay, and surrounding areas, delivering stunning visual content that tells compelling stories and elevates brands. As a freelance photographer, you will be an integral part of capturing the energy and emotion of diverse events, from corporate functions and grand openings to intimate celebrations and cultural gatherings. Beyond events, you will be responsible for producing high-quality commercial imagery for businesses, which may include product photography, corporate headshots, architectural shots, lifestyle campaigns, and promotional content designed to enhance their marketing efforts.
We are seeking someone with a keen eye for detail, an understanding of composition and lighting, and the technical proficiency to operate professional-grade camera equipment and related software. Key Responsibilities
- Plan, shoot, and deliver high-quality photographs for a variety of events, including corporate functions, conferences, weddings, and private parties.
- Execute commercial photography assignments such as product shots, corporate portraits, interior/exterior architectural photography, and marketing campaign visuals.
- Consult with clients to understand their specific photographic needs, vision, and branding guidelines.
- Set up and manage lighting, backdrops, and other photographic equipment on location or in a studio setting.
- Perform professional post-production work, including editing, color correction, retouching, and cropping, to enhance image quality.
- Organize and manage digital assets, ensuring timely delivery of final images in required formats.
- Maintain and care for photographic equipment, ensuring it is always in excellent working condition.
- Stay updated with industry trends, techniques, and software to continuously improve skills and offerings.
Required Skills
- Proficiency in professional DSLR/Mirrorless camera systems and accessories.
- Expertise in Adobe Photoshop, Lightroom, and other relevant photo editing software.
- Strong understanding of photography principles, including lighting, composition, and exposure.
- Proven ability to capture compelling images in various environments (indoor, outdoor, low light).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for client interaction.
- Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and meet deadlines.
- A strong portfolio showcasing a range of event and commercial photography work.
Preferred Qualifications
- Degree or diploma in Photography, Visual Arts, or a related field.
- Experience with studio lighting setups and portable flash systems.
- Knowledge of videography principles and basic video editing skills.
- Experience with drone photography/videography (Part 107 certified or equivalent is a plus).
- Familiarity with local Montego Bay venues and business landscapes.
