Career.zycto is actively seeking a talented and highly motivated Freelance Photographer specializing in both event coverage and commercial shoots to join our expanding network of professionals in Bridgeport, Portmore, and surrounding areas. This is an exciting opportunity for a creative individual with a keen eye for detail, a strong understanding of lighting and composition, and a passion for capturing compelling imagery across a variety of settings. As a freelance photographer, you will be instrumental in bringing our clients’ visions to life, whether it’s documenting the energy of a vibrant corporate event, capturing candid moments at a private celebration, or producing high-quality commercial imagery for products, services, and branding initiatives. You will work independently on assigned projects, managing all aspects from pre-production planning and equipment setup to on-site shooting and comprehensive post-production. Key Responsibilities
- Consult with clients to understand their photographic needs, preferences, and project objectives for both events and commercial assignments.
- Plan and execute photography sessions, including scouting locations, setting up lighting and equipment, and directing subjects as required.
- Capture high-quality, professional images for a diverse range of events (e.g., corporate functions, weddings, parties) and commercial purposes (e.g., product photography, headshots, real estate, marketing campaigns).
- Perform comprehensive post-production tasks, including culling, editing, retouching, and color correction using industry-standard software (e.g., Adobe Lightroom, Photoshop).
- Manage and organize digital assets, ensuring secure storage and timely delivery of final images in specified formats.
- Maintain and care for personal photography equipment, ensuring it is in excellent working condition for all assignments.
- Adhere to project timelines and deadlines, ensuring prompt delivery of edited images.
- Collaborate effectively with clients and other professionals (e.g., event planners, marketing teams) to achieve desired outcomes.
- Stay updated with industry trends, techniques, and equipment to continuously enhance photographic skills and services.
Required Skills
- Proven experience as a professional photographer with a strong portfolio showcasing both event and commercial work.
- Expertise in operating professional-grade DSLR/mirrorless cameras and various lenses.
- Proficiency in lighting techniques, including natural, artificial, and flash photography.
- Advanced skills in photo editing software (e.g., Adobe Lightroom, Photoshop).
- Strong understanding of composition, color theory, and visual storytelling.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients and subjects.
- High degree of professionalism, reliability, and time management.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Own reliable photography equipment and accessories.
Preferred Qualifications
- Degree or diploma in Photography, Visual Arts, or a related field.
