Career.zycto is seeking a dynamic and highly skilled Freelance Photographer specializing in both event and commercial photography to join our network of creative professionals. Key Responsibilities
- Consult with clients to understand their photography needs and project scope for events and commercial shoots.
- Plan and execute photography sessions on-site, ensuring optimal lighting, composition, and technical settings.
- Capture high-quality images that meet or exceed client expectations and brand guidelines.
- Utilize a professional-grade camera, lenses, lighting equipment, and other necessary gear.
- Perform post-production tasks including culling, editing, retouching, and color grading of all photographs.
- Manage and organize digital assets efficiently, ensuring secure storage and timely delivery.
- Maintain a professional demeanor and excellent communication with clients throughout the project lifecycle.
- Adapt to various shooting environments, conditions, and client requests with creativity and flexibility.
- Adhere to project deadlines and deliver final edited images in specified formats.
- Continuously update and maintain a strong portfolio showcasing diverse photography styles and projects.
Required Skills
- Minimum 3 years of professional photography experience in events and/or commercial settings.
- Expertise in operating professional DSLR or mirrorless camera systems and associated equipment.
- Proficiency in Adobe Lightroom and Photoshop for advanced photo editing and retouching.
- Strong understanding of lighting techniques (natural and artificial) and composition principles.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for client interaction.
- Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and meet tight deadlines.
- Demonstrated portfolio showcasing a diverse range of event and commercial photography work.
- Own professional photography equipment including camera bodies, lenses, flashes, and stands.
- Reliable transportation to various shoot locations across Negril and surrounding areas.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or diploma in Photography, Visual Arts, or a related field.
- Experience with videography and video editing (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro).
- Familiarity with local businesses, venues, and cultural nuances in Negril.
- Ability to speak multiple languages, particularly relevant for tourist-facing events.
- Experience in aerial photography/videography (drone operating license preferred).
