Career.zycto is actively seeking a talented and dynamic Freelance Photographer specializing in both events and commercial projects to join our network of creative professionals. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced visual storyteller based in or near Bellefield, Mandeville, who possesses a keen eye for detail, a passion for capturing authentic moments, and the technical prowess to deliver high-quality imagery across diverse assignments. As a freelance photographer partnering with Career.zycto, you will be instrumental in bringing our clients’ visions to life. Your work will encompass a wide array of projects, from vibrant corporate events, conferences, and private celebrations to product photography, brand campaigns, and lifestyle shoots for various commercial entities. We value photographers who are not only skilled with their camera but also excellent communicators, capable of understanding client briefs thoroughly, providing creative input, and managing projects from conceptualization to final delivery. Key Responsibilities
- Execute photography assignments for events (corporate, social, private) and commercial projects (product, lifestyle, branding) as per client briefs.
- Operate professional camera equipment, lighting, and accessories effectively to capture high-quality images.
- Collaborate with clients to understand their vision, objectives, and specific requirements for each project.
- Provide creative input and recommendations to enhance visual outcomes, ensuring brand consistency and aesthetic appeal.
- Manage the entire photography workflow, including pre-production planning, on-site shooting, post-production editing, and final delivery.
- Utilize advanced photo editing software (e.g., Adobe Photoshop, Lightroom) to retouch, colour correct, and optimize images.
- Ensure timely delivery of edited photographs in specified formats and resolutions.
- Maintain and organize photographic equipment, ensuring it is in excellent working condition.
- Adhere to project timelines and budget constraints, communicating any potential delays or issues promptly.
- Build and maintain strong professional relationships with clients, fostering repeat business and positive referrals.
Required Skills
- Minimum 3 years of proven professional experience as an Events and/or Commercial Photographer.
- Demonstrable portfolio showcasing a strong command of various photography styles, including event, portrait, and product photography.
- Proficiency with professional-grade DSLR/mirrorless cameras, lenses, lighting equipment (studio and on-location), and other photography accessories.
- Expert-level knowledge of Adobe Photoshop, Lightroom, or other industry-standard photo editing software.
- Excellent understanding of composition, lighting, colour theory, and visual storytelling.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to articulate creative concepts and manage client expectations.
- Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet strict deadlines.
- Reliable transportation and willingness to travel to various client locations within Bellefield, Mandeville, and surrounding areas.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Photography, Visual Arts, or a related field.
- Experience with videography and video editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro) is a plus.
- Familiarity with marketing and branding principles.
- Active membership in professional photography associations.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure in fast-paced environments.
