Career.zycto is seeking a talented and passionate Freelance Photographer specializing in Events and Commercial projects to join our network of creative professionals in Temple Hall, St. Andrew. We are looking for an individual with a keen eye for detail, a strong storytelling ability through imagery, and a proven track record of delivering exceptional results. This role offers the flexibility of freelance work, allowing you to take on diverse assignments that match your skill set and schedule. You will be instrumental in capturing pivotal moments at various events, from intimate social gatherings to large-scale corporate functions, as well as producing compelling visuals for commercial clients, including product photography, corporate headshots, branding campaigns, and lifestyle shoots.
As a freelance photographer, you will manage your own workflow, from initial client consultation and shoot planning to post-production and final delivery. While the compensation range provided is an estimated monthly earning potential, payment for this role is strictly project-based, allowing you to earn according to the scope and number of assignments you undertake. Key Responsibilities
- Plan and execute photography assignments for a variety of events (weddings, corporate functions, social gatherings, concerts, etc.) ensuring all key moments are captured.
- Conduct commercial photo shoots for products, branding, marketing campaigns, corporate portraits, and lifestyle content.
- Collaborate closely with clients to understand their vision, requirements, and desired outcomes for each project.
- Utilize professional-grade photography equipment, including cameras, lenses, lighting, and accessories, to achieve high-quality results.
- Perform comprehensive post-production work, including culling, editing, retouching, and color correction, using industry-standard software (e.g., Adobe Lightroom, Photoshop).
- Ensure timely delivery of edited images in specified formats and resolutions, adhering to agreed-upon deadlines.
- Maintain and organize a professional portfolio showcasing a diverse range of work in event and commercial photography.
- Manage client communication, invoicing, and contract agreements effectively.
- Stay updated with the latest photography trends, techniques, and equipment to continuously enhance skills and service offerings.
Required Skills
- Minimum of 2 years of proven professional experience in event and commercial photography.
- Exceptional portfolio demonstrating a diverse range of high-quality work in both event and commercial settings.
- Advanced proficiency with professional DSLR or mirrorless camera systems and various lenses.
- Expertise in photographic lighting techniques, both natural and artificial.
- Strong command of Adobe Creative Suite, specifically Lightroom Classic and Photoshop, for post-production.
- Excellent eye for composition, color, and detail.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and client management skills.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet tight deadlines.
- Reliable transportation and willingness to travel to various shoot locations within St. Andrew and surrounding parishes.
Preferred Qualifications
- Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Photography, Visual Arts, or a related field.
- Experience with videography and video editing is a plus.
- Ownership of professional-grade photography equipment, including backup gear.
