Based in Denbigh, May Pen, you will be instrumental in capturing the essence of various events and executing commercial photography projects for our diverse clientele across Jamaica. Key Responsibilities
- Plan and execute photography assignments for various events and commercial projects according to client briefs and specifications.
- Utilize professional-grade camera equipment and accessories to capture high-quality images in diverse settings.
- Perform post-production tasks including culling, editing, retouching, and color correction using industry-standard software (e.g., Adobe Lightroom, Photoshop).
- Manage and organize digital assets efficiently, ensuring timely delivery of final images.
- Collaborate effectively with clients and project managers to understand vision and deliver results that exceed expectations.
- Adhere to deadlines and maintain open communication regarding project progress and potential challenges.
- Stay updated with photography trends, techniques, and equipment to continuously enhance service quality.
- Maintain professional demeanor and client confidentiality at all times.
Required Skills
- Proven experience as an Event and/or Commercial Photographer.
- Expertise in operating professional DSLR/Mirrorless cameras and associated lenses, lighting, and grip equipment.
- Advanced proficiency in Adobe Lightroom and Photoshop for image editing and post-production.
- Strong understanding of composition, lighting, and color theory.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and meet tight deadlines.
- A compelling portfolio showcasing diverse event and commercial photography work.
- Valid driver’s license and access to reliable transportation for local travel to assignments.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Photography, Visual Arts, or a related field.
- Experience with videography and video editing is a plus.
- Familiarity with local Denbigh, May Pen, and wider Jamaican event venues and commercial locations.
