Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with clients to understand project requirements, creative vision, and desired outcomes for both event and commercial shoots.
- Plan and execute photoshoots, including location scouting, subject posing, and effective use of natural and artificial lighting.
- Operate and maintain professional-grade camera equipment, lenses, and accessories.
- Perform comprehensive post-production work, including culling, color correction, retouching, and final image delivery using Adobe Creative Suite.
- Manage project timelines, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality edited images.
- Develop and maintain a strong portfolio showcasing diverse work in event and commercial photography.
- Network and build relationships with potential clients and industry professionals.
- Manage invoicing, contracts, and other administrative tasks associated with freelance work.
- Stay updated with industry trends, equipment, and software advancements to continually enhance skills and service offerings.
Required Skills
- Proven experience as an Event and/or Commercial Photographer with a strong portfolio.
- Expert proficiency in using professional DSLR or Mirrorless camera systems and various lenses.
- Advanced knowledge of lighting techniques (natural, studio flash, continuous lighting).
- Mastery of Adobe Lightroom and Photoshop for image editing and retouching.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for client interaction and collaboration.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Access to and proficiency with your own professional photography equipment.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or diploma in Photography, Visual Arts, or a related creative field.
- Experience with videography and video editing (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro).
