Key Responsibilities
- Capture high-quality photographs for a range of events (e.g., weddings, corporate functions, community gatherings) and commercial assignments (e.g., product photography, brand campaigns, portraits).
- Consult with clients to understand their vision, objectives, and specific photographic requirements for each project.
- Manage all aspects of photography projects, including planning, scheduling, location scouting, equipment setup, shooting, and post-production.
- Utilize advanced photographic techniques, lighting, and composition to produce visually stunning and impactful images.
- Perform professional photo editing, retouching, and colour correction using industry-standard software (e.g., Adobe Lightroom, Photoshop).
- Ensure timely delivery of final edited images in specified formats, adhering to client deadlines and quality standards.
- Maintain and manage professional photographic equipment, ensuring it is in excellent working condition.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships, ensuring high levels of satisfaction and encouraging repeat business.
- Actively seek and engage with new clients and project opportunities to grow your freelance business.
- Adhere to ethical photographic practices and maintain confidentiality regarding client information and sensitive content.
Required Skills
- Proven expertise in event photography (weddings, corporate, social).
- Strong portfolio showcasing commercial photography (products, portraits, branding).
- Proficiency with professional DSLR/Mirrorless camera systems and lenses.
- Expertise in studio lighting, natural lighting, and flash photography techniques.
- Advanced skills in Adobe Lightroom and Photoshop for post-processing.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational and time management abilities.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Reliable transportation for on-site assignments in Thompson Town, Clarendon, and surrounding areas.
- A keen eye for detail, composition, and visual storytelling.
Preferred Qualifications
- Formal photography education or certification.
- Experience with videography and video editing.
- Familiarity with drone photography/videography.
