Key Responsibilities
- Conceptualize, plan, and execute photographic shoots for diverse events (e.g., conferences, social gatherings, public celebrations) and commercial purposes (e.g., product catalogs, corporate profiles, advertising campaigns).
- Engage actively with clients to thoroughly understand their creative briefs, specific requirements, and desired aesthetic outcomes, ensuring every visual aligns perfectly with their brand identity.
- Utilize and maintain professional-grade photography equipment, including advanced cameras, a variety of lenses, studio and portable lighting setups, and essential accessories to achieve superior results in varied settings.
- Conduct comprehensive post-production editing, encompassing precise colour grading, meticulous retouching, intelligent cropping, and other necessary enhancements to deliver polished, high-resolution final images.
- Efficiently manage and organize all digital assets, ensuring secure storage, systematic cataloguing, and prompt delivery of edited photographs within agreed-upon project timelines.
- Maintain the highest level of professionalism and provide outstanding customer service from initial consultation through to final delivery, fostering strong client relationships.
- Adhere strictly to project budgets and schedules, proactively communicating any potential challenges or anticipated delays to relevant stakeholders.
- Continuously engage in professional development, staying informed of emerging industry trends, cutting-edge photographic techniques, and new software to enhance service offerings and maintain a competitive edge.
Required Skills
- Demonstrable experience as an Event and Commercial Photographer, supported by a compelling and diverse online portfolio.
- Advanced proficiency with professional DSLR or Mirrorless camera systems and a comprehensive range of prime and zoom lenses.
- Expert knowledge and practical application of various lighting techniques, including natural light utilization, artificial studio lighting, and off-camera flash.
- Mastery of industry-standard photo editing software, specifically Adobe Lightroom and Photoshop, for advanced post-processing.
- Exceptional understanding of photographic composition, framing, colour theory, and visual storytelling principles.
- Superior communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to build and maintain strong client relationships.
- Outstanding organizational capabilities, meticulous attention to detail, and a commitment to precision in all aspects of work.
- Proven ability to work autonomously, effectively prioritize and manage multiple simultaneous projects, and consistently meet stringent deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications
- A Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional diploma in Photography, Visual Arts, or a closely related creative field.
- Demonstrated experience in videography and proficiency with video editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve) for integrated media projects.
- Established familiarity with local businesses, unique cultural events, and premier venue locations within Bodles, Old Harbour, and the broader Saint Catherine Parish.
- Possession of reliable personal transportation and comprehensive professional liability insurance.
