Career.zycto is seeking a talented and passionate Freelance Photographer specializing in Events and Commercial work to join our vibrant network of professionals in Red Hills, Kingston. Key Responsibilities
- Execute photography assignments for a variety of events (corporate, social, public gatherings) and commercial projects (product, lifestyle, branding, architectural).
- Collaborate directly with clients and project managers to understand creative briefs, desired outcomes, and technical specifications for each shoot.
- Manage all aspects of photography from planning and setup to shooting and post-production editing.
- Utilize professional-grade camera equipment, lighting, and other accessories to achieve high-quality results.
- Adhere to project timelines and deliver edited photographs in specified formats and resolutions within agreed-upon deadlines.
- Maintain a high level of professionalism, punctuality, and communication throughout all stages of a project.
- Secure appropriate model releases and property waivers when necessary.
- Continuously scout for new creative angles, compositions, and lighting techniques to enhance visual storytelling.
- Backup and manage digital assets efficiently and securely.
Required Skills
- Proficiency in digital photography, including advanced knowledge of camera settings, lighting, and composition.
- Expertise in photo editing software (e.g., Adobe Lightroom, Photoshop).
- Strong portfolio demonstrating diverse experience in event and commercial photography.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with clients and subjects.
- Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and meet tight deadlines.
- Ownership of professional-grade photography equipment (camera bodies, lenses, flashes, tripods, etc.).
- Solid understanding of color theory, image quality, and resolution best practices.
- Capacity to adapt quickly to varying shooting environments and client requirements.
Preferred Qualifications
- Degree or diploma in Photography, Visual Arts, or a related field.
- Experience with videography and video editing is a plus.
- Knowledge of current photography trends and visual marketing strategies.
- Ability to provide basic retouching and color correction for commercial deliverables.
