Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of pediatric patients with diverse conditions, including developmental delays, neurological disorders, musculoskeletal injuries, and genetic syndromes.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans utilizing a variety of therapeutic techniques and modalities tailored to each child's needs and developmental stage.
- Monitor patient progress, adjust treatment plans as necessary, and document all findings and interventions accurately and timely.
- Provide education and support to parents and caregivers on home exercise programs, developmental activities, and strategies to optimize their child's functional abilities.
- Collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team, including occupational therapists, speech and language therapists, pediatricians, and educators, to ensure integrated and holistic care.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of best practices, research, and advancements in pediatric physiotherapy.
- Participate in clinic meetings, case conferences, and contribute to service development initiatives.
- Ensure adherence to professional standards, ethical guidelines, and all relevant health and safety regulations.
Required Skills
- HCPC registration as a Physiotherapist.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Physiotherapy.
- Minimum 2 years of post-qualification experience, with a significant focus on pediatric physiotherapy.
- Demonstrable experience in assessing and treating a wide range of pediatric conditions.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and empathy skills, particularly when working with children and their families.
- Strong clinical reasoning and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency in clinical documentation and record-keeping.
Preferred Qualifications
- Post-graduate training or certifications in specific pediatric physiotherapy specializations (e.g., Bobath, Sensory Integration, Hydrotherapy).
- Experience with neurodevelopmental assessment tools and interventions.
- Membership in relevant professional organizations (e.g., CSP, APCP).
