Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Physiotherapist to join our dedicated team in Chemin Grenier, Savanne District. This pivotal role focuses on delivering comprehensive rehabilitation and wellness services to our diverse patient population. Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough patient assessments, including history taking, physical examination, and functional testing, to accurately diagnose conditions and establish treatment goals.
  • Develop, implement, and continually evaluate individualized physiotherapy treatment plans based on evidence-based practice and patient-specific needs.
  • Utilize a variety of therapeutic techniques, including manual therapy, therapeutic exercise, electrotherapy, hydrotherapy, and specialized rehabilitation equipment.
  • Educate patients and their families on their conditions, treatment plans, injury prevention, and self-management strategies.
  • Maintain accurate and timely patient records, progress notes, and reports in compliance with professional and organizational standards.
  • Collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals to ensure integrated and holistic patient care.
  • Participate in continuous professional development activities and contribute to departmental quality improvement initiatives.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols, ethical guidelines, and regulatory requirements.
  • Provide advice and guidance on adapted physical activity and lifestyle modifications for long-term wellness.

Required Skills

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Physiotherapy from an accredited institution.
  • Valid registration/licensure to practice as a Physiotherapist in Mauritius.
  • Minimum of 3 years of post-qualification clinical experience, preferably in rehabilitation and wellness settings.
  • Demonstrated ability to assess, diagnose, and treat a wide range of musculoskeletal, neurological, and cardiorespiratory conditions.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and empathy skills for effective patient interaction and team collaboration.
  • Proficiency in English and French (both written and spoken).
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage a diverse caseload effectively.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Specialization or advanced certification in a specific area of physiotherapy (e.g., sports, women's health, geriatrics, manual therapy).
  • Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
  • Proven ability to work autonomously and as part of a dynamic team.
