Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive physiotherapeutic assessments of patients to determine their physical condition, needs, and treatment goals.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment programs based on evidence-based practice, clinical reasoning, and patient goals.
- Utilize a variety of physiotherapy techniques, including manual therapy, exercise prescription, electrotherapy, and hydrotherapy.
- Monitor patient progress, adjust treatment plans as necessary, and document all assessments and interventions accurately.
- Educate patients and their families on conditions, treatment plans, and self-management strategies to promote long-term well-being.
- Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams, including doctors, nurses, occupational therapists, and other healthcare professionals.
- Participate in ward rounds, case conferences, and contribute to patient discharge planning.
- Adhere strictly to professional standards, ethical guidelines, and all relevant UK healthcare regulations (e.g., HCPC standards).
- Engage in continuous professional development and participate in clinical supervision to maintain and enhance skills.
- Contribute to service improvement initiatives and clinical audits within the department.
Required Skills
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Physiotherapy from a recognized institution.
- Minimum of 2 years (24 months) post-qualification clinical experience as a Physiotherapist.
- Eligibility for registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) in the UK.
- Excellent clinical reasoning, assessment, and treatment planning skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, capable of building rapport with patients and colleagues.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Proficiency in spoken and written English, meeting UK visa requirements (e.g., IELTS/OET).
- Demonstrated commitment to continuous professional development and evidence-based practice.
