Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive physiotherapeutic assessments of patients to determine their physical condition, needs, and treatment goals.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment programs based on evidence-based practice, clinical reasoning, and patient goals.
  • Utilize a variety of physiotherapy techniques, including manual therapy, exercise prescription, electrotherapy, and hydrotherapy.
  • Monitor patient progress, adjust treatment plans as necessary, and document all assessments and interventions accurately.
  • Educate patients and their families on conditions, treatment plans, and self-management strategies to promote long-term well-being.
  • Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams, including doctors, nurses, occupational therapists, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Participate in ward rounds, case conferences, and contribute to patient discharge planning.
  • Adhere strictly to professional standards, ethical guidelines, and all relevant UK healthcare regulations (e.g., HCPC standards).
  • Engage in continuous professional development and participate in clinical supervision to maintain and enhance skills.
  • Contribute to service improvement initiatives and clinical audits within the department.

Required Skills

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Physiotherapy from a recognized institution.
  • Minimum of 2 years (24 months) post-qualification clinical experience as a Physiotherapist.
  • Eligibility for registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) in the UK.
  • Excellent clinical reasoning, assessment, and treatment planning skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, capable of building rapport with patients and colleagues.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Proficiency in spoken and written English, meeting UK visa requirements (e.g., IELTS/OET).
  • Demonstrated commitment to continuous professional development and evidence-based practice.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a UK healthcare setting (NHS or private).
  • Specialization or advanced training in areas such as musculoskeletal, neurological, respiratory, or pediatric physiotherapy.
  • Experience with diverse patient populations and complex caseloads.
  • Postgraduate qualifications or certifications in a relevant sub-specialty.
  • Familiarity with UK clinical guidelines and healthcare protocols.
