Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients with diverse musculoskeletal, neurological, respiratory, and other complex conditions.
  • Develop and implement individualized, evidence-based physiotherapy treatment plans aimed at restoring function, reducing pain, and preventing disability.
  • Utilize a wide range of therapeutic techniques, including manual therapy, therapeutic exercise, electrotherapy, and acupuncture (where qualified).
  • Educate patients and their families on their condition, treatment plans, self-management strategies, and prevention techniques.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, ensuring compliance with professional and organizational standards.
  • Work collaboratively within multi-disciplinary teams, contributing to holistic patient care and rehabilitation goals.
  • Participate in continuous professional development activities, maintaining up-to-date knowledge and skills in physiotherapy practice.
  • Adhere to all professional codes of conduct, ethical guidelines, and health and safety regulations.
  • Contribute to service improvement initiatives and clinical audits to enhance patient outcomes and service delivery.

Required Skills

  • BSc or MSc in Physiotherapy from a recognized institution.
  • Eligibility for or current registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) in the UK.
  • Minimum of 2 years post-graduate clinical experience as a Physiotherapist.
  • Excellent assessment, diagnostic, and clinical reasoning skills.
  • Proficiency in developing and implementing individualized treatment plans.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and empathy skills for effective patient interaction and team collaboration.
  • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
  • Commitment to continuous professional development and evidence-based practice.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a specific specialist area (e.g., neurological rehabilitation, acute care, community physiotherapy).
  • Post-graduate qualifications or specialized certifications in relevant physiotherapy fields.
