Key Responsibilities
- Assist licensed physiotherapists with patient treatments and rehabilitation exercises.
- Prepare treatment areas, including setting up and sanitizing equipment before and after sessions.
- Provide hands-on support and supervision to patients during therapeutic exercises, ensuring proper technique.
- Monitor patient comfort and progress during sessions, reporting any concerns or observations to the physiotherapist.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the clinic, including inventory of supplies and equipment.
- Assist with administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments, maintaining patient records, and answering phones.
- Educate patients and their families on exercises, mobility aids, and home care instructions under supervision.
- Ensure a safe and welcoming environment for all patients and staff.
Required Skills
- Completion of a recognized Physiotherapy Assistant or related healthcare program.
- Proven ability to assist with therapeutic exercises and patient mobility.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (German required, English a plus).
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
- Physical stamina and ability to assist patients with transfers and movements.
- Proficiency in basic computer applications for record-keeping and scheduling.
Preferred Qualifications
- 1+ years of experience working as a Physiotherapy Assistant in a clinical setting.
- First Aid and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
