Key Responsibilities
- Install, inspect, maintain, and repair industrial pipeline systems (hydraulic, pneumatic, process) according to safety and industry standards.
- Conduct preventative maintenance, diagnose issues, and troubleshoot mechanical failures, leaks, or blockages.
- Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and P&IDs to guide installation and repair processes.
- Operate specialized tools and equipment for pipe fitting, welding, and system testing.
- Ensure strict adherence to all safety protocols, environmental regulations, and company policies, especially concerning hazardous materials.
- Maintain accurate documentation of all maintenance, repair activities, and system performance records.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure operational continuity and project success.
- Provide support for emergency response and participate in on-call duties as required.
Required Skills
- Proven experience as a Pipeline Technician or in industrial mechanical maintenance.
- Strong understanding of fluid dynamics, pressure systems, and piping materials.
- Proficiency in welding, fitting, and pipe joining techniques.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings, P&IDs, and engineering specifications.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
- Familiarity with industrial safety regulations (e.g., LOTO, confined space).
- Effective communication and teamwork skills.
- Physical capability for demanding tasks in various conditions.
Preferred Qualifications
- Vocational training or a technical degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Maintenance, or a related field.
- Certifications in welding (e.g., TIG, MIG) or specialized pipe fitting.
- Experience with NDT (Non-Destructive Testing) methods for pipeline inspection.
- Knowledge of German industrial standards (e.g., DIN, ISO) and local safety regulations.
- Familiarity with PLC systems or automated control systems for pipelines.
