Key Responsibilities

  • Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems and fixtures in residential, commercial, and industrial structures.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine layout of plumbing systems, water supply networks, and waste and drainage systems.
  • Locate and mark positions for pipe connections, passage holes, and fixtures in walls and floors.
  • Cut, thread, bend, and assemble pipes, valves, and fittings.
  • Test plumbing systems for leaks and other problems, ensuring compliance with local building codes.
  • Troubleshoot plumbing issues, diagnose problems, and implement effective solutions.
  • Perform routine maintenance on plumbing systems to prevent future issues.
  • Adhere strictly to safety protocols and local plumbing codes and regulations.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, contractors, and team members, providing clear explanations and solutions.
  • Maintain accurate records of work performed, materials used, and hours spent on each project.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience as a Plumber, with a strong understanding of plumbing systems and codes.
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and technical documents.
  • Expertise in installing, repairing, and maintaining pipes, fittings, valves, and fixtures.
  • Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to use a variety of plumbing tools and equipment safely and effectively.
  • Excellent physical stamina and dexterity.
  • Basic computer literacy for record-keeping and communication.
  • Effective communication skills in English.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Red Seal certification or equivalent international plumbing credential recognized in Canada.
  • Experience working in a multicultural environment.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Additional trade certifications or specialized training.
  • Willingness to undertake further training and professional development.
