Key Responsibilities
- Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems and fixtures in residential, commercial, and industrial structures.
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine layout of plumbing systems, water supply networks, and waste and drainage systems.
- Locate and mark positions for pipe connections, passage holes, and fixtures in walls and floors.
- Cut, thread, bend, and assemble pipes, valves, and fittings.
- Test plumbing systems for leaks and other problems, ensuring compliance with local building codes.
- Troubleshoot plumbing issues, diagnose problems, and implement effective solutions.
- Perform routine maintenance on plumbing systems to prevent future issues.
- Adhere strictly to safety protocols and local plumbing codes and regulations.
- Communicate effectively with clients, contractors, and team members, providing clear explanations and solutions.
- Maintain accurate records of work performed, materials used, and hours spent on each project.
Required Skills
- Proven experience as a Plumber, with a strong understanding of plumbing systems and codes.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and technical documents.
- Expertise in installing, repairing, and maintaining pipes, fittings, valves, and fixtures.
- Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to use a variety of plumbing tools and equipment safely and effectively.
- Excellent physical stamina and dexterity.
- Basic computer literacy for record-keeping and communication.
- Effective communication skills in English.
Preferred Qualifications
- Red Seal certification or equivalent international plumbing credential recognized in Canada.
- Experience working in a multicultural environment.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
