As a Plumber, you will be a vital member of the team, responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing water supply systems, drainage systems, and heating systems. Key Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, and repair plumbing systems, including water supply lines, drainage systems, and fixtures.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot plumbing issues, identifying the root cause of problems accurately and efficiently.
- Perform routine maintenance on plumbing systems to prevent future issues and ensure optimal functionality.
- Install and repair hot water tanks, boilers, central heating systems, and other water-based appliances.
- Adhere strictly to all plumbing codes, regulations, and safety standards.
- Inspect and test plumbing systems for leaks, proper pressure, and other issues.
- Communicate effectively with clients, explaining work to be done, providing estimates, and ensuring customer satisfaction.
- Maintain a clean, organised, and safe work environment at all times.
- Record all work performed, materials used, and time spent on each job.
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development to stay updated with industry best practices and new technologies.
Required Skills
- NVQ Level 2/3 in Plumbing and Heating or equivalent recognised qualification.
- Proven experience as a Plumber, including installation, maintenance, and repair.
- Thorough knowledge of plumbing systems, materials, and equipment.
- Strong diagnostic and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to read blueprints and technical diagrams.
- Excellent manual dexterity and physical stamina.
- Valid UK Driving License.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Gas Safe Registration (if undertaking gas-related work).
- Additional certifications in related trades (e.g., heating engineering).
- Experience with renewable energy plumbing systems (e.g., solar thermal).
- First Aid certification.
