Career.zycto is actively seeking a dedicated and highly skilled Plumber for a full-time position focused on pipework and maintenance in the vibrant Malherbes, Curepipe area. Key Responsibilities

  • Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems and fixtures in residential, commercial, and industrial structures.
  • Perform routine inspections of plumbing systems to identify and resolve issues before they escalate.
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose complex plumbing problems, including leaks, clogs, and pipe damage.
  • Cut, thread, bend, and assemble pipes, tubes, fittings, and fixtures.
  • Install and repair water heaters, pumps, tanks, and other plumbing appliances.
  • Ensure all plumbing work meets local building codes, safety standards, and client specifications.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to plan layouts.
  • Provide accurate estimates for repairs and installations, and communicate effectively with clients.
  • Respond to emergency plumbing calls in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Maintain a clean and organised work environment, and ensure proper care of tools and equipment.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience as a Plumber in pipework and maintenance.
  • In-depth knowledge of plumbing systems, materials, and equipment.
  • Proficiency in reading blueprints and technical diagrams.
  • Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent physical stamina and dexterity.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Relevant plumbing certification or vocational training.
  • Experience with various pipe materials (copper, PVC, PEX, galvanised steel).
  • Familiarity with smart plumbing technologies.
  • Previous experience in a diverse range of environments (residential, commercial, industrial).
