Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine plumbing maintenance, inspections, and preventative checks on various plumbing systems.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot complex plumbing issues, including leaks, clogs, pipe bursts, and water pressure problems.
- Execute repairs, replacements, and installations of pipes, fixtures, water heaters, boilers, and other plumbing components.
- Install and connect new plumbing systems, sanitary ware, and appliances in residential and commercial settings.
- Interpret blueprints and technical drawings to ensure accurate and compliant installations.
- Adhere strictly to all relevant plumbing codes, regulations, and health and safety standards.
- Provide clear, professional explanations of work to clients, offering accurate estimates and advice.
- Manage and maintain plumbing tools and equipment, ensuring they are in good working order.
- Complete all necessary paperwork, including job reports, invoices, and service records accurately and promptly.
- Participate in an on-call rotation for emergency plumbing services as required.
- Maintain a clean, organised, and safe work environment at all times.
Required Skills
- NVQ Level 2/3 in Plumbing or equivalent recognised qualification
- Proven experience in plumbing repair, maintenance, and installation
- Strong knowledge of plumbing systems, codes, and safety regulations
- Excellent diagnostic and problem-solving abilities
- Proficiency with various plumbing tools and equipment
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Valid UK driving license
- Customer-focused approach with a commitment to high-quality service
