Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose and resolve plumbing issues including leaks, blockages, and pipe bursts.
- Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems, fixtures, and appliances (e.g., water heaters, toilets, sinks).
- Perform routine maintenance and emergency repairs on residential and commercial properties.
- Interpret blueprints and building specifications to determine layouts for plumbing systems.
- Ensure all work complies with local plumbing codes and safety standards.
- Provide accurate estimates for repairs and installations to clients.
- Maintain accurate records of all work performed and materials used.
- Communicate effectively with clients, explaining issues and proposed solutions clearly.
- Manage and organize tools, equipment, and company vehicle effectively.
- Adhere to health and safety regulations at all times.
Required Skills
- Proven experience as a Plumber, with a strong portfolio of repair and installation work.
- NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Plumbing and Heating or equivalent qualification.
- Valid UK driving license with a clean record.
- Excellent diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in using plumbing tools and equipment.
- Strong understanding of plumbing systems, materials, and regulations.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to high-quality workmanship.
Preferred Qualifications
- Gas Safe registration (if applicable to broader heating roles).
