Key Responsibilities
- Assist podcast producers with all stages of audio production, including meticulous pre-production research, efficient scheduling, and precise script preparation and fact-checking.
- Manage and meticulously organize a vast array of audio assets, including raw recordings, licensed music, custom sound effects, and curated interview clips.
- Conduct fundamental audio editing tasks, such as precise noise reduction, consistent leveling, and basic mixing under direct supervision, utilizing industry-standard software.
- Craft compelling and accurate show notes, engaging episode descriptions, and persuasive promotional copy for all new podcast episodes across various platforms.
- Coordinate seamlessly with guests, hosts, and various internal teams for interview scheduling, technical setup (both in-studio and remote), and logistical arrangements.
- Actively assist with live and recorded studio sessions, ensuring proper microphone setup, optimal sound levels, and ideal room acoustics for high-quality audio capture.
- Upload and meticulously schedule finished podcast episodes on diverse podcast hosting platforms and ensure accurate metadata tagging for maximum discoverability.
- Monitor podcast performance metrics vigilantly and assist in generating insightful reports on listenership, audience demographics, and overall engagement.
- Provide robust support for marketing and social media efforts tailored for new podcast launches and ongoing promotional campaigns.
- Maintain an impeccably organized production calendar and tracking system for multiple ongoing projects simultaneously.
- Stay continuously updated on emerging podcasting trends, cutting-edge technologies, and evolving best practices to contribute innovative ideas and strategies.
- Provide comprehensive general administrative support to the digital content and broader production teams as required to ensure smooth operations.
Required Skills
- Proficiency in industry-standard audio editing software (e.g., Adobe Audition, Audacity, Logic Pro X, Pro Tools).
- Exceptional organizational skills and an unwavering attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both Portuguese and English.
- Demonstrated ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- A foundational understanding of podcasting workflows, digital audio formats, and compression techniques.
- Familiarity with various social media platforms and effective content distribution strategies.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, Media Production, Music Technology, or a closely related field.
- Previous experience (either internship or paid professional role) in audio production, radio broadcasting, or podcasting.
- In-depth knowledge of digital marketing principles specifically applied to content promotion and audience growth.
- Experience with contemporary project management tools (e.g., Asana, Trello, Monday.com).
- A comprehensive portfolio or easily accessible samples of previous audio work (e.g., demos, short podcasts, sound designs).
