Key Responsibilities

  • Perform routine cleaning, vacuuming, skimming, and brushing of pools, spas, and water features.
  • Monitor and maintain accurate chemical balance in water, including pH, chlorine, alkalinity, and calcium hardness.
  • Conduct thorough inspections of pool equipment, including pumps, filters, heaters, and chemical feeders.
  • Troubleshoot and repair minor equipment malfunctions and perform preventative maintenance tasks.
  • Maintain detailed records of water quality readings, chemical usage, and maintenance activities.
  • Ensure strict adherence to all health and safety regulations and company policies.
  • Educate clients on proper pool care and provide recommendations for optimal performance.
  • Manage inventory of chemicals and supplies, placing orders as needed.
  • Respond promptly to service calls and emergency situations.
  • Collaborate with other team members and supervisors to optimize service delivery.

Required Skills

  • Minimum 2 years (24 months) of professional experience as a Pool Technician or similar role.
  • Proven knowledge of water chemistry and chemical balancing techniques.
  • Proficiency in operating and maintaining various pool equipment (pumps, filters, heaters, sanitizers).
  • Ability to perform minor repairs and diagnostics on pool systems.
  • Strong understanding of health and safety protocols related to aquatic facilities.
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to various client sites.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
  • Good communication skills in German (B2 level or higher).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Certification in Pool & Spa Operation (e.g., CPO, AFO) or equivalent.
  • Experience with automated pool control systems.
  • Basic plumbing or electrical knowledge relevant to pool systems.
  • Fluency in English (in addition to German).
  • A passion for outdoor work and physical tasks.
