Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine cleaning, vacuuming, skimming, and brushing of pools, spas, and water features.
- Monitor and maintain accurate chemical balance in water, including pH, chlorine, alkalinity, and calcium hardness.
- Conduct thorough inspections of pool equipment, including pumps, filters, heaters, and chemical feeders.
- Troubleshoot and repair minor equipment malfunctions and perform preventative maintenance tasks.
- Maintain detailed records of water quality readings, chemical usage, and maintenance activities.
- Ensure strict adherence to all health and safety regulations and company policies.
- Educate clients on proper pool care and provide recommendations for optimal performance.
- Manage inventory of chemicals and supplies, placing orders as needed.
- Respond promptly to service calls and emergency situations.
- Collaborate with other team members and supervisors to optimize service delivery.
Required Skills
- Minimum 2 years (24 months) of professional experience as a Pool Technician or similar role.
- Proven knowledge of water chemistry and chemical balancing techniques.
- Proficiency in operating and maintaining various pool equipment (pumps, filters, heaters, sanitizers).
- Ability to perform minor repairs and diagnostics on pool systems.
- Strong understanding of health and safety protocols related to aquatic facilities.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to various client sites.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Good communication skills in German (B2 level or higher).
Preferred Qualifications
- Certification in Pool & Spa Operation (e.g., CPO, AFO) or equivalent.
- Experience with automated pool control systems.
- Basic plumbing or electrical knowledge relevant to pool systems.
- Fluency in English (in addition to German).
- A passion for outdoor work and physical tasks.
