Key Responsibilities
- Efficiently sort and organize mail, parcels, and other postal items for designated delivery routes.
- Deliver postal items to residential and business addresses in Passau accurately and within established timeframes.
- Operate company vehicles (e.g., vans, electric bicycles) safely and in accordance with traffic laws and company policies.
- Collect outgoing mail and parcels from designated pick-up points along your route.
- Provide friendly and professional customer service, responding to inquiries and resolving minor delivery issues.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries and collections, including special handling requests.
- Ensure the security and integrity of all postal items entrusted for delivery.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and company procedures while on duty.
Required Skills
- Valid German Class B driver's license (or equivalent) for vehicle operation
- Excellent sense of direction and ability to navigate routes efficiently
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Physical stamina and ability to lift and carry mailbags and packages (up to 20kg)
- Reliability, punctuality, and a strong work ethic
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Good communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a delivery, logistics, or postal service role
- Familiarity with the Passau city area and its various neighborhoods
- Basic German language skills to interact with customers
