Career.zycto is excited to partner with a vibrant community arts center in Downtown Vicksburg, seeking a talented and enthusiastic Part-Time Pottery Instructor to inspire creativity and nurture artistic skills in students of all levels. As our Pottery Instructor, you will be responsible for developing and leading engaging pottery classes, covering a range of techniques from hand-building to wheel throwing. You’ll guide students through the entire ceramic process, from initial design concepts and clay preparation to glazing and firing. Key Responsibilities

  • Instruct students of various ages and skill levels in ceramic techniques.
  • Demonstrate proper use of pottery tools and equipment.
  • Ensure a safe, clean, and organized studio environment.
  • Provide constructive feedback and guidance to students.
  • Manage clay inventory, glazes, and firing schedules.
  • Foster a positive and inspiring learning atmosphere.
  • Assist with studio maintenance and equipment upkeep.
