Key Responsibilities
- Perform daily feeding and watering of poultry, ensuring proper nutrition and hydration.
- Monitor flock health and welfare, identifying and reporting any signs of illness or injury to supervisors.
- Collect eggs regularly, carefully handling and preparing them for grading and packaging.
- Clean and sanitize poultry houses, equipment, and surrounding areas to maintain high biosecurity standards.
- Assist with the loading and unloading of poultry for transportation, ensuring humane handling.
- Carry out general farm maintenance tasks, including minor repairs and upkeep of facilities.
- Maintain accurate records of feed consumption, egg production, mortality rates, and other relevant farm data.
- Adhere strictly to all animal welfare protocols, health and safety regulations, and biosecurity measures.
- Operate and maintain farm machinery and equipment safely and efficiently (e.g., feeders, ventilation systems).
