Job Description

This is a full-time, on-site role crucial to the smooth operation of our poultry unit, where you will play a hands-on part in the daily care and management of our flock. Key Responsibilities

  • Perform regular feeding and watering of poultry according to established schedules and dietary requirements.
  • Collect, clean, and properly store eggs, ensuring minimal breakage and maintaining hygiene standards.
  • Daily monitoring of poultry health, identifying any signs of illness, injury, or distress, and reporting findings to the farm supervisor promptly.
  • Clean and sanitize poultry houses, equipment, and surrounding areas to maintain a sterile and disease-free environment.
  • Assist with vaccination, culling, and other poultry management activities as instructed by the farm management.
  • Maintain accurate records of feed consumption, egg production, mortality rates, and other relevant farm data.
  • Adhere strictly to biosecurity protocols and farm safety procedures to prevent the spread of diseases and ensure a safe working environment.
  • Operate and maintain basic farm equipment safely and efficiently, performing minor repairs when necessary.
  • Participate in general farm duties as required, supporting overall farm operations and team efforts.

  • Physical stamina and the ability to perform manual labor for extended periods in various weather conditions.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Minimum of 6 months of proven experience working on a poultry farm or in a similar agricultural setting.
  • Basic knowledge of poultry farming practices, including biosecurity measures and common poultry diseases.
  • Ability to read and write for accurate record-keeping and basic communication.
  • Formal training or certification in animal husbandry, agriculture, or a related field is a significant advantage.
