Key Responsibilities
- Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and age-appropriate lessons across various subjects, adhering strictly to the Rwandan national curriculum.
- Create and maintain a positive, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment conducive to active learning and student well-being.
- Assess and monitor student progress regularly, providing constructive feedback and implementing differentiated instruction strategies to support all learners.
- Manage classroom behavior effectively, promoting respect, discipline, and a sense of responsibility among students.
- Communicate regularly and transparently with parents/guardians regarding student performance, academic progress, and overall well-being.
- Collaborate proactively with colleagues to develop and enhance curriculum, share best practices, and participate in school-wide educational initiatives.
- Participate actively in school events, parent-teacher conferences, and continuous professional development workshops to enhance teaching skills.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date student records, attendance, and progress reports as required by school policy.
Required Skills
- Bachelor's Degree in Education or a closely related field.
- Proven experience (minimum 1 year) as a Primary School Teacher.
- Strong understanding of child development theories and pedagogical best practices for primary education.
- Excellent classroom management, organizational, and time-management skills.
- Proficiency in Kinyarwanda and English (both oral and written communication).
- Ability to create a dynamic, interactive, and inclusive learning environment.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and collaboration skills.
- Demonstrated patience, empathy, and a genuine love for working with children.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's Degree in Education or a specialized teaching area (e.g., Early Childhood Education).
- Experience with integrated learning approaches, project-based learning, or inquiry-based learning models.
- Familiarity with modern digital learning tools and educational technology platforms.
- Active participation in community educational programs or extracurricular activities.
- Working knowledge of French is considered an added advantage.
