Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated, enthusiastic, and dedicated Primary School Teacher to join our esteemed faculty at Exchange Primary School. Key Responsibilities

  • Design and deliver engaging lesson plans that adhere to the national primary school curriculum.
  • Assess student progress regularly, provide constructive feedback, and maintain accurate academic records.
  • Create a positive, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment conducive to learning.
  • Manage classroom behavior effectively, promoting respect, responsibility, and cooperation among students.
  • Communicate regularly and effectively with parents/guardians regarding student progress and well-being.
  • Collaborate with fellow teachers, administrators, and support staff to enhance the overall educational experience.
  • Participate in school-wide events, parent-teacher conferences, and professional development workshops.
  • Integrate technology into lessons to enhance learning and student engagement.
  • Adapt teaching methods and materials to meet the diverse needs of students, including those with special educational needs.
  • Maintain a safe and organized classroom setting.

Required Skills

  • Bachelor's Degree in Education (Primary) or equivalent teaching qualification.
  • Minimum of 2 years of proven experience as a Primary School Teacher.
  • Excellent classroom management and organizational skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Proficiency in developing and implementing engaging, age-appropriate lesson plans.
  • Demonstrated ability to foster a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Familiarity with the Jamaican primary education curriculum.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's Degree in Education.
  • Certification in specific areas such as early childhood education, special education, or educational technology.
  • Experience with differentiated instruction and multi-grade teaching.
  • Proficiency in educational software and digital learning tools.
