Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated, enthusiastic, and dedicated Primary School Teacher to join our esteemed faculty at Exchange Primary School. Key Responsibilities
- Design and deliver engaging lesson plans that adhere to the national primary school curriculum.
- Assess student progress regularly, provide constructive feedback, and maintain accurate academic records.
- Create a positive, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment conducive to learning.
- Manage classroom behavior effectively, promoting respect, responsibility, and cooperation among students.
- Communicate regularly and effectively with parents/guardians regarding student progress and well-being.
- Collaborate with fellow teachers, administrators, and support staff to enhance the overall educational experience.
- Participate in school-wide events, parent-teacher conferences, and professional development workshops.
- Integrate technology into lessons to enhance learning and student engagement.
- Adapt teaching methods and materials to meet the diverse needs of students, including those with special educational needs.
- Maintain a safe and organized classroom setting.
Required Skills
- Bachelor's Degree in Education (Primary) or equivalent teaching qualification.
- Minimum of 2 years of proven experience as a Primary School Teacher.
- Excellent classroom management and organizational skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Proficiency in developing and implementing engaging, age-appropriate lesson plans.
- Demonstrated ability to foster a positive and inclusive learning environment.
- Familiarity with the Jamaican primary education curriculum.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's Degree in Education.
- Certification in specific areas such as early childhood education, special education, or educational technology.
