Key Responsibilities
- Safely and efficiently transport passengers to their destinations within Strensall, York, and beyond.
- Adhere strictly to all road safety regulations, local licensing laws, and company policies.
- Maintain the cleanliness and basic upkeep of the assigned vehicle.
- Assist passengers with luggage and ensure their comfort throughout the journey.
- Utilise navigation tools and local knowledge to choose the most efficient routes.
- Provide exceptional customer service, maintaining a polite, professional, and friendly demeanour.
- Handle passenger payments accurately and efficiently, if required.
- Report any vehicle maintenance issues or incidents promptly to management.
- Ensure punctuality for all bookings and communicate any potential delays effectively.
Required Skills
- Valid UK Driving Licence (Category B) with no more than 3 penalty points.
- Private Hire Driver Licence (PCO Licence or equivalent from City of York Council).
- Excellent knowledge of Strensall, York, and surrounding areas.
- Proven experience in a professional driving role.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to use GPS navigation systems effectively.
- High level of professionalism and customer service orientation.
- Punctual, reliable, and responsible.
Preferred Qualifications
- NVQ Level 2 in Road Passenger Vehicle Driving or equivalent.
- First Aid certification.
