Job Description

Career.zycto is seeking a highly motivated and skilled Process Engineer to join our growing team in the Sanssouci Park Area of Potsdam. In this pivotal role, you will be instrumental in designing, implementing, and optimizing various industrial processes. Your primary mission will be to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, ensure product quality, and uphold the highest safety standards across our operations. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including R&D, production, and quality assurance, to identify bottlenecks, propose innovative solutions, and drive continuous improvement initiatives. Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and optimize industrial processes to improve efficiency, reduce waste, and ensure product quality.
  • Conduct process simulations, data analysis, and root cause analyses to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
  • Develop and maintain process documentation, including P&IDs, flow diagrams, and operating procedures.
  • Collaborate with R&D, production, and quality control teams to scale up new products and processes.
  • Monitor process performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement preventive measures to ensure smooth operations.
  • Lead and participate in continuous improvement projects using methodologies such as Lean and Six Sigma.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant safety, environmental, and quality regulations and standards.
  • Evaluate and recommend new technologies and equipment to enhance process capabilities and competitiveness.
  • Provide technical support and training to operations personnel on process best practices.

Required Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Process Engineering, or a related field.
  • Proven experience with process design, optimization, and troubleshooting.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with proficiency in process simulation software (e.g., Aspen HYSYS, PRO/II).
  • Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma principles.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
  • Proficiency in German and English, both written and verbal.
  • In-depth knowledge of safety regulations and quality management systems.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree or PhD in a relevant engineering discipline.
  • Certifications in Lean, Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt.
  • Experience with automation and control systems (e.g., DCS, PLC).
  • Familiarity with Industry 4.0 concepts and digital manufacturing technologies.
  • Previous experience in a regulated industry (e.g., pharmaceuticals, chemicals, food & beverage).
