Your daily responsibilities will be both varied and engaging. You will meticulously generate purchase orders, cross-referencing details with requisitions and ensuring accuracy at every step. Key Responsibilities

  • Process purchase requisitions and convert them into accurate purchase orders.
  • Liaise with suppliers to confirm orders, track deliveries, and resolve any issues or discrepancies.
  • Maintain comprehensive records of purchases, pricing, and other important data.
  • Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with internal departments to anticipate future needs.
  • Negotiate with suppliers for better pricing or terms, where applicable, under supervision.
  • Reconcile invoices against purchase orders and assist the finance department with payment processing.
  • Ensure compliance with company procurement policies and procedures.
  • Assist in evaluating supplier performance and identifying potential new suppliers.
  • Prepare reports on purchasing activities, spending, and cost savings.
  • Support internal stakeholders with procurement-related queries and guidance.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience in an administrative or entry-level procurement role (1 year).
  • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving capabilities.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system or procurement software.
  • Knowledge of basic accounting principles.
  • Working towards or holding a CIPS (Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply) qualification.
  • Understanding of supply chain processes.
  • Previous experience in the professional services or recruitment industry.
