Key Responsibilities
- Process purchase orders accurately and efficiently from requisition to delivery, ensuring all details conform to company standards.
- Liaise daily with a diverse range of suppliers to track orders, resolve discrepancies, manage delivery schedules, and ensure timely receipt of goods and services.
- Maintain and meticulously update procurement records, supplier databases, and contract files to ensure data accuracy and accessibility.
- Assist in the evaluation of supplier performance, contributing to continuous improvement initiatives and vendor relationship management.
- Support the procurement team in preliminary negotiations for terms and conditions with vendors, seeking favourable outcomes.
- Conduct market research to identify potential new suppliers, products, and services that align with company needs and strategic goals.
- Ensure strict compliance with all company procurement policies, procedures, and relevant regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate effectively with internal departments such as finance, operations, and sales to align procurement activities with broader business objectives.
- Prepare regular reports on procurement activities, spend analysis, and supplier performance metrics to inform decision-making.
Required Skills
- Proven experience (minimum 1 year) in an administrative, purchasing, or procurement support role.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, coupled with meticulous attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities, capable of fostering strong internal and external relationships.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel for data analysis, Word for documentation, and Outlook for correspondence.
