Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation and processing of purchase orders and requisitions for goods, services, and materials, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies.
 - Conduct market research to identify potential suppliers, evaluate their offerings, and negotiate favourable terms and conditions to secure the best value.
 - Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, contract details, and other important procurement data within the system.
 - Track orders from placement to delivery, ensuring timely receipt of goods and services, and proactively following up with suppliers on schedules and potential delays.
 - Coordinate effectively with internal departments (e.g., operations, finance, project management) to understand their procurement needs and provide tailored support.
 - Verify invoices against purchase orders, delivery notes, and contracts, resolving any discrepancies with suppliers or internal teams promptly.
 - Monitor inventory levels for critical supplies and collaborate with warehousing and planning teams to optimize stock levels and prevent shortages.
 - Support the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of procurement strategies, policies, and procedures.
 - Assist in managing supplier relationships, including performance evaluation, contract reviews, and fostering long-term partnerships.
 - Prepare comprehensive procurement reports and analyses to support strategic decision-making and identify areas for cost savings and efficiency gains.
 
Required Skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook)
 - Excellent communication and negotiation skills, both written and verbal
 - Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
 - High level of accuracy and meticulous attention to detail
 - Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks, and collaborate effectively within a team

Preferred Qualifications
- A Diploma or Degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field
 - Prior experience (1-2 years) in a procurement or purchasing role, preferably within a diversified group, manufacturing, or FMCG environment
 - Experience with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle)
 - Knowledge of local and international sourcing practices and regulations
 - Certifications in procurement or supply chain management (e.g., CIPS, CSCP)
