Key Responsibilities
- Manage the end-to-end procurement process, from requisition to payment, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Source, evaluate, and select suppliers based on quality, cost, reliability, and service levels.
- Negotiate favourable terms, conditions, and pricing with vendors to achieve cost savings and secure optimal value.
- Develop and maintain strong, collaborative relationships with key suppliers and internal stakeholders.
- Conduct market research and analysis to identify new suppliers, products, and procurement opportunities.
- Prepare and process purchase orders, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery of goods and services.
- Monitor supplier performance, resolve issues, and implement corrective actions as needed.
- Manage contracts, ensuring adherence to terms and conditions, and facilitate contract renewals or terminations.
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and effectiveness within the procurement function.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of procurement strategies and policies.
- Ensure all procurement activities comply with relevant legal, ethical, and environmental standards.
Required Skills
- Proven experience as a Procurement Officer, Buyer, or similar role.
- Strong understanding of procurement principles, supply chain management, and vendor relationship management.
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Proficiency in procurement software and enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems (e.g., SAP Ariba, Oracle, NetSuite).
- Demonstrated ability to analyse data, identify trends, and make informed decisions.
- Solid organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
- High level of integrity and ethical conduct.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field.
